RE Adopts A Family for Christmas – REMG is participating in the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s program by providing a holiday dinner, Christmas gifts, Christmas tree and movie tickets for a family night out to a family from Temple in need. A contribution has been made in the name of all of our employees
Quoted in “Landscapes & Hardscapes” Magazine as “Green” Provider – RE’s owner is quoted in the recent edition of this landscape contracting magazine for REMG’s use of excess and recycled countertop materials in landscaping projects. If you’re considering a project that could use multi-colored pavers, random chunks of granite, or even large slabs as privacy screens or focal points, call us! See the article here.
RE on WGIR’s “Ask The Experts” – On a recent Saturday morning we were asked to participate in WGIR’s weekly home improvements call in radio show. We had a very busy morning taking over a dozen calls from homeowners who had questions about granite, marble and other natural stone applications. Host Shaun McGory was so excited about Michael Hauptly-Pierce’ appearance on the show that he has asked us to return. So listen to WGIR and watch this space for our next appearance!
Quoted in National ‘Lowes For Pros’ publication – If you are a contractor, keep an eye out for June’s “Lowes For Pros” newsletter. RE owner Dave Brassard is quoted in a discussion about using leftover stone for projects as part of our ‘green’ initiative. Among other ideas RE cuts and sells remnant stone for use in walkways and patios, giving the user a beautiful, durable and unique stone product from material that might otherwise have been discarded. Ask us about these patio stone ideas!
Boys’ & Girls’ Club of Greater Nashua – BGCGN has recently opened their completely new Teen Center and is completing a $4.1 Million renovation to the facility. The new Teen Center, inspired by a seed grant from Richard Stahl, will give at-risk youth of the greater Nashua area a beautiful, high-tech, welcoming and safe place to spend those after school hours. Visit the Club on Grant Ave in Nashua and see the spectacular Cranberry Brown granite countertops in the Cafe area provided by RE Marble & Granite. REMG is also a proud sponsor of the Club’s annual golf tournament.
Surviving the Ice Storm – The worst ice storm in history hit our area and left us with more than a mess. We were out of power for 12 days at the height of the busy holiday installation season. Responding with grace under pressure and benefited tremendously by help from friendly competitors, we were able to produce and install every project without fail, even though we couldn’t use our own building! It is our intent to maintain positive relationships with other fabricators and because we do, we were able to call and use the shops of our competitors to complete the necessary work. It meant a ton of shuttling literally tons of stone back and forth, but our customers never knew how desperate our situation was. In addition, we had to find office space that had power and internet, and actually moved the entire office, files, computers and all three times in those two weeks. You can rest assured that when we say we’re going to be there to do a job, we’re doing everything possible to meet that obligation!
